What does that even come out to?
$9.95 x 12 = $119.40
$119.40 x 10 = $1194

Really?

How did you not notice this?
And how do you expect to be refunded for 10 years worth of a subscription?

Are you already using sneakpeeq?
Am I being annoying and posting too much about it?

This is my first giveaway so I just want some feed back for the future :-)

A Day in the Life: Customer Service Volume 25

Our papers come out with the information from the market close from the day before.
i.e The paper dated for Monday is the information from the markets close on Friday, Tuesday is the info from the market close on Monday etc.

A woman just called to let us know that she didn't get the Tuesday paper.
I asked her if she got a paper on Saturday and she told me that she had.
I explained that since Monday was a holiday, we didn't print a paper with Mondays date, so the Tuesday paper took place of the Monday paper and was delivered on Saturday.

Customer: I don't understand...
Me: What don't you understand?
Customer: How can you predict that far in advance?
Me: What do you mean?
Customer: How do you predict what is going to happen so far in advance; when the paper is printed on Friday for Tuesday?
Me: Ma'am, we don't predict anything.. {and then I went into the whole schpeal above}

The best part about this whole thing is that the customer has been a subscriber since 2008 and is currently on a 3 year subscription!
So this whole time she has just thought was were crystal ball readers of the future..

...how cool would that be...

Check out my giveaway!

A Game for 2

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

I am so happy that I don't have to work tomorrow - this three day weekend is much needed!

Last night, Rich and I heated up some left overs, had a beer and watched Cheers (duh!)

When we were finished with dinner and cleaning up, Rich went over to our little game stash and was looking through to see if we had anything fun to play.

He pulls out Uno and tells me he doesn't know how to play...
Um...what?!
So of course we played a hand of Uno and sadly we were quickly board

We then pulled out a game that I have had for a long time, that isn't my favorite: Mad Gab. It wasn't Rich's favorite either, so we only played for a few minutes and put that game right back where it belonged...hidden away, deep in our game box :-)

image

So we pulled out a deck of cards and played a few card games, Gin, Speed, Texas Holdem, Black Jack - unfortunately most card games are only fun if you are betting, and we weren't...maybe we need to invest in some poker chips?

image

Then we pulled out my all time favorite friends game Loaded Questions and since there was only two of us, we just read the cards and answered the questions - some serious, some not so serious

image

We had a great time aside from the fact that we only have fun games for larger groups of people...

Now here is where the blogging world comes in...

We need help!!
Do you know of any games that are fun in a group and fun to play for two???
Even card games that you know??
I will look up the directions :-)

I was thinking that maybe we should invest in a Scrabble board and maybe Cribbage
(I remember I loved that game when I was a kid!)

Rich's birthday is coming up on Friday and I would love to have something fun wrapped for him by then!

What do you think??

Half Dome Here We Come!

I am excited to announce that we got a campsite in Yosemite for this summer!

I have a great friend getting married in the close vicinity this summer and since I will need to take a day off of work anyway to get up to the wedding, we decided to make a long weekend out of it!

Half Dome is on my our bucket list so you can only imagine how excited we are!

This morning we spent the surrounding minutes to 7am constantly refreshing the page until the site opened so we could register for a camp site.

Fortunately enough, Rich got through!
(by the time 7am hit and I refreshed my screen, the camp sites I was shooting for were already gone!)

Unfortunately, we were unable to get passes to hike Half Dome. So we will have to wake up early the day before we want to go, and welp, cross our fingers!

So we are all set for a fun camping trip this summer!

We decided to save our money and do a small, relatively local, trip this year and next year we will do Machu Picchu!

Anyway! I am so excited to finally get to Yosemite and hike Half Dome! I can't wait to see the beautiful views and enjoy how beautiful Mother Nature can be!

I hope you all had a Wonderful Wednesday!

Tell Me - Link Up #1

Miss Tracy over at Then I Got to Thinking is one of my college friends and Alpha Gamm Sisters. She has a great blog that I stalk read daily :-)

She did this link up last week and I missed it, so I figured I would do it this week!

I am feeling a lack of things to blog about so I am going to start doing link ups

Tell Me...
What's an experience you've had in your life that has made your learn something important about yourself?

Here we go...

This may sound silly...

Getting married has really changed me, for the better.

I have really learned
how to work on a team, as a team
how to love someone, other than myself, unconditionally
how to communicate, efficiently and effectively
how to be sensitive to others
how to be compassionate
how to support someone
how to manage money (!)
how to be the best me that I can be

Rich has taught me patience
He always gives me a different perspective on things, anything
He shows me how to appreciate the beauty in nature and the the positive in people
He treats me with respect, and I treat him with respect

Of course, no one is perfect, we all strive to be the best we can be
And as long as you are striving and learning about yourself, I believe, you will always be growing

Being married has really helped me grow as a person and learn some very valuable lessons on just being a stand-up kinda gal

So, thank you my love :-)

Happy Thursday!

Love is in the Air - Link Up!

I saw this here and found the link up here {all yesterday}
I know I'm late :-)

Better late than never, right?!

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
We have been together since August of 2008

our first real date
On our first real date he surprised me and we went on a night tour of Alcatraz

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We have an interesting story.
I was in a sorority in college and in 2007, a beautiful girl came through recruitment and I just had to be her friend! I was a Junior and she was a Freshmen and we became extremely close.
She was my person (You know what I mean?!)
Well, long story short, she told me that I would be perfect for her brother.
I thought it was weird...hahaha!
He was Marine stationed in San Diego, I didn't want to do long distance again...
I saw pictures of him, he had the best smile :-)
A few months later I got a myspace message from a cute marine
He was stationed in Hawai'i and wanted to get to know me
We sent messages back and forth and then he asked me for my phone number
We have not gone more than a week without talking since (except once during a deployment)

She was my maid of honor
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}
We have been married since May 29, 2011 - so almost 9 months

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
We got married at the church that I grew up going to and had the reception at the Blackhawk Auto Museum in the Bay Area.
It was big, a little over 150 people
It was perfect

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
We call each other Sweeter
That is what most of your bloggers know him as because that is what I used to call him here, and then he asked me not to do that any more, since its our name for each other :-)

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
(1) He loves me most when I am in my jammies and have no make up on and my hair in a bun on top of my head
(A) He encourages me to the be the best me possible
(1A) We are the best team and work well together to keep our relationship strong
{in not particular order :-)}

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
You can read the proposal story here

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
Ummm both?
I love to be surprised with flowers
So I would say he is more of a flowers and chocolate kinda guy :-)

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Sunset dinner on the beach
I love to get dressed up
And I love when he gets dressed up
He is so darn handsome it's just unfair ;-)

But I do like to relax on the couch and snuggle - there is nothing like it!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
Our next trip, which will have to wait until next year, will be to Peru and to camp/hike/tour Machu Picchu

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
Rich will be studying for midterms
I will make a yummy dinner and we will eat chocolate and drink wine :-)

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
No, I would rather save to go somewhere
We got each other a gift
Neuhaus chocolates
So excited!

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Remember that you are a team.
That you love each other even when you are mad or upset
Work together to make your relationship strong and perfect for you and your needs
Read the 5 Love Languages book!

14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.

A Day in the Life: Customer Service Volume 23

Customer: "I have a PhD, and I can't even understand your directions"
My Thoughts: "Well, if you are so smart and have a PhD, maybe you should know how to use a computer!?"

Some people are so rude!

He was my longest phone call: 40 minutes!
Not okay!

And I find out that he is a retired dentist...
...hmm...yeah, I ok!

Forgiveness

This is one of my New Years resolutions.
To forgive.
To allow people to make mistakes without passing judgement.
To not get hurt, as easily.
To love everyone, unconditionally

Have a great day!

A Day in the Life: Customer Service Volume 22

I just hung up on my first customer...
..and I don't feel badly about it
...he deserved it

---

This customer called looking for a particular product that we don't have (I even asked my buddy and my supervisor and neither of them knew what he was talking about)

Customer: Tell me about Top Elite Stocks
Me: Sir, I am not sure what you are referring to, can you give me some more information?
Customer: I got a note in the mail about Top Elite Stocks and member only access.
Me: And you got it from {my company}?
Customer: Yes! What time is it where you are?
Me: 9:30
Customer: It's 12:30pm in Michigan...so what time zone are you in?
Me: Pacific Standard Time
Customer: So what time is it there?
Me: 9:30! {I was getting annoyed at this point...}
Customer: So what is Top Elite Stocks?
Me: Sir, I am not sure, we don't have a product with that name, can you give me more information? Is it online or print...?
Customer: Why do you even have a job?
Me: Sir, I am trying to help you, I am not sure what you are asking me for.
Customer: I just got a lot of money.
Me: You just got a lot of money?
Customer: Yes! And I owe someone $149
Me: You owe someone $149?
Customer: Yes, for the Top Elite Stocks.
Me: Sir, we don't have a product for that price... can you read me the notice that you got?
Customer: Get Top Elite Stocks with member only access...
Me: Sir, we don't have a product like that..
Customer: Why do you even have a job?
Me: Sir, don't be rude, I am trying to help you.
Customer: Yeah, well you are useless...

I hung up on him

I cannot believe that he treated me like that!
He was by far the worst Customer that I have ever spoken to!
How rude!

I made sure I wasn't being crazy, with my supervisor and she told me that we don't have anything like what he was referring to and that I did the right thing to hang up on him! ha!

And then my buddy says:
"I'm useless?! Your mom is useless"
haha!
It made me feel better!
{as bad as it sounds...}

Happy February!

Happy Happy February!
May your month be full of love and life!
