Happy Belated Easter

Side Note:
We are exactly 30 days away from the wedding
WOOHOO!

Sweeter and I had a great Easter celebration!
It was lovely!
Sweeter woke up before I did and he surprised me...
I woke up to this note:

Sweeter knew how much I wanted to do an Easter Egg hunt and we didn't have the time to get any Easter Eggs.
So sweeter made paper eggs and taped them all over our apartment.
It was soo sweet!

After the Easter Egg Hunt, we walked downtown and we got some sweet treats and got some drinks at Starbucks and walked to the beach and sat and relaxed.

It was amazing!
Then we got ready and we spent the rest of the day with family!

It was lovely!!

I just watched Cougar Town and Bobby said something that I wanted to share with you all!
"You can't hear the world laughing at you if you are laughing harder"
-Bobby Cobb Cougar Town
Who knew that that show could be so profound!?

I really liked this quote!
Life is too short to take it too seriously :-)

Have a great day!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm lovin' that it is Wednesday!
We are half way through the week!
And Sweeter and I are so excited to go up North this weekend for a co-ed bridal shower!

I'm lovin' waking up to my Sweeter in the morning!
We fall asleep snuggling and when we wake up we are on opposite sides of the bed.
Whoever's alarm goes off first, always snoozes it and hops back into bed and we snuggle some more
It is a great way to wake up!

I hope you all enjoy your Wednesday!

Bachelorette/Shower Weekend

This weekend could not have gone any better...
...well, okay, that's a lie, I wish that all of the bridesmaids were there, but sometimes you can't have it all, can you?

Anyways, I will leave out the frustrating morning and focus on the great weekend that I had!

I got ready on Saturday at my house in a haste. Miss Laura picked me up and drove me to the meeting place.
We all compiled into 2 cars and we got on the road to Napa.
that's me!!

We went to lunch at this cute and delicious Italian restaurant and then I was treated to a Swedish Massage that turned into more of a deep tissue beat up...ha!

at lunch
Anyways...after my massage, we went to to Plump Jack Winery and did some wine tasting! They have some tasty wine! After we tasted their wines, we headed up to a little terrace and brought more wine and I opened a few x-rated gifts ;-P

the gals!
drinking some tasty wine!
Love this one!!
my beautiful Christine!

Friend!
on the little patio!

a beautiful day!
We spent a while up there chatting and enjoying the beautiful sunshine!

Around 5:30, we headed back to the East Bay and waited at my house. A friend of mine came in and my mom offered to pick her up from the airport. At this point, it was just me and the BMs and my friend from our new home. We headed to dinner at this Mexican place in Melissa's hometown.

We went back to Melissa's house and hung around and talked. It was very nice and relaxing. Melissa showed us a video of Sweeter when he was on their Elementary School's TV station. It was adorable. He makes all of the same facial expressions! It was hilarious!!

We got ready for bed and talked a bit more and then went to sleep. We were all exhausted from drinking wine all day and being out in the sun.

On Sunday morning I woke up and I had a little bit of Friend time! It was lovely!

She went down to help set up for the shower and I stayed upstairs and got ready for the day because my mom was picking me up and taking me to lunch while the girls got everything ready and set up.

My mom picked me up and we went to a winery for lunch. I had the most wonderful lunch with her! We cried a bit :-) It was so sweet! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mom!!

my beautiful mom!
At 2, we headed over to the shower and we started everything! It was a blast! We took lots of pictures, had tea and mimosas and opened lots of presents! Sweeter and I scored some good loot!

the shower
We played 2 games. The first game was like a talk show. My Christine had emailed Sweeter and bunch of questions and he had to answer them. Then she asked me the questions and I had to answer them how I thought Sweeter would have.
i.e. What was the moment that you knew you were in love with La Tache?
and I had to guess how he had answered.
It was so romantic :-)

she won the hat contest...obviously! :-)
And the second game was MadLibs! It was hilarious! I'll have to type it up and post it!

And of course, Miss Laura was writing down everything that I was saying as I was opening gifts and then read them aloud as what I will say to Sweeter on our wedding night! Oh my gosh, it was hilarious! I haven't laughed that hard in a while!! I think it didn't help that his mom and grandparents were in the room...haha! It was hilarious!!

the gals!
I love this picture!
all my girls...minus 1
once my little, always my little!

my alpha gams!

all of the ladies!

Awe, Liz!

the R&L cookie and my bow/ribbon bouquet!

best wishes to the soon to be mrs! Love this!!
There was a lot of delicious tea time foods and lots of great company! The weather was beautiful and I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!

us with our Mommas!

I have been thinking a lot recently about the people that I chose to spend my time with. Every woman that I have created a friendship with is unique in her own way and is special to me in her own way. I have been so blessed to have such amazing people that have been so supportive and always on my side.

J. Junior Bridesmaids & Groomsmen- {I changed this because I am not a June bride} I have 4 young kids in my life...my two little brothers and 2 little girls who are around my brother's ages. I wanted to incorporate them into our special day and so we decided to have a slightly older flower girl/ring bearer {hey, its my day and I can do it however I want!} and giving my older brother and the older girl the honor of being Junior Bridesmaid/Groomsman!
 K. Keepsakes- {Is this like favors?} We are having these favors. I will be making a photo album for guests to sign with our engagement pictures in them. Our First Big Purchase

Sweeter and I have been nonstop on the hunt for a car since I totaled Shirley.

We went out looking last weekend and test drove a few cars and decided that we liked the Honda Civic LX Sedan. We want a 4door vehicle because they are a bit more spacious, even for a small car.

When we went last weekend, we didn't find anything that we liked that was in our price range.

So we decided to keep looking.

We did some searches online and found some independent sellers and dearlerships that seemed to have What we were looking for.

We found a great deal and we were excited about it. We didn't want to make any rash decisions so we decided to go to another dealership and check it out.

We got there and we found almost the exact car from the place before, only this one was certified and had a clean title (the other one had been in a small accident, but no major damages had occurred)

We walked into the dealership after test driving it and after some rough  negotiations, we filled out all the paperwork and they handed us the keys! We decided to leave it there over night so that they could detail it etc. Before we left I asked the, if they would put a big bow on the car so we could take a picture with it, since it was our first big purchase. Everyone there was so nice so they said that it was no problem.
The keys and the paperwork
We picked up the car and when we got there it was still looking beautiful, shiny and looked new! They out a big red bow on the car and made us, well mainly me, feel so special!! (Sweeter thought I was being silly, but I know that he was just as excited as I was deep down inside ;-))
ain't see a beauty?
love it!
and the bow!
the salesperson...he was happy :-)
Now...what to name the car!? I need to spend some more time with it to find a fitting name for it (I have been referring to it as a girl, so I think a girl name is in order)

On Sunday, we were driving her and Sweeter had his window rolled down. We were stopped at a stop light and a woman rolled her window down and asked us how much we paid for the car brand new...yeah she is in that good of condition! We both laughed! It was pretty funny!!

Yay!! I hope you all had a fun and productive weekend!!

The Invitations have been sent!

I had them printed at my work and one of my best friends helped me to assemble, stuff and address them. Then Sweeter and I had some friends help us stamp them and I finished addressing the envelopes and licked them!

This is soo exciting! Now I can't wait for the first RSVP to come in the mail!

The Passage- The New Testament

Back to the verses that Sweeter and I chose...
We decided to have one of my closest friends read a New Testament verse for the ceremony:
1 Corinthians 12:31-12:8a

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians

Brothers and sisters:
Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts.

But I shall show you a still more excellent way.

If I speak in human and angelic tongues
But do not have love,
I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy
And comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge;
If I have all faith so as to move mountains,
But do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give away everything I own,
And if I hand my body over so that I may boast
But do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, is not pompous,
It is not inflated, it is not rude,
It does not seek its own interests,
It is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
But rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things,
Hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

The word of the Lord.

I know that this verse is a little cliche....but  it is such a beautiful passage!
I know that the most popular part of the passage is the last part, and I think that it is beautiful, of course, but my favorite part of the verse is the first part!

Yay!
I cannot wait to hear this verse during our ceremony!
This is all so exciting!!

So Glad it is Friday!

I have now gone since Sunday without seeing or talking to my Sweeter.
I am missing him real bad and I can't wait to come home and have him there!!

He will be pleasantly surprised that:

I cleaned the house while he was gone
Wrote him love letters every night of the week
Started a scrapbook of our engagement
I got my haircut (I look way different...ok, no I don't..haha)
A new dress came in the mail for me for the shower..I can't wait to show him!
We have gotten so many RSVP cards in the mail
I got most of my To-Do list checked off

I just cannot wait to see him I may jump out of my skin!
I hope I am not kept too late at work...I'd love to get off early to I can jump in his arms and give him a BIG hug!!

I hope you all enjoy your Friday!!

We are looking forward to celebrating our Friends marriage this weekend as well as car shopping and seeing Cirque Du Soliel! (He has never seen it before, I am excited to take him and show him what he's been missing! ha!)

Oh and it's the 1st of April, which means it's April Fools Day!
(I do not like this holiday, I am not fun when pranks are pulled on me...ha!)
