Wedding ReCap: Day of the Wedding Part 3

So we got to the church and because the guys were all welcoming our guests, we gals went into the side room of the church and waited for everything to get started!

One of my best friend's brothers played the piano at the ceremony, it was amazing!

And at the end, we walked out to "500 Miles" The Proclaimers!

Yes! He played 500 Miles on the piano! It was phenomenal!

I had both of my parents walk me down - it was so special!

We had three passages read during the ceremony

One of my best friends from college read 1 Corinthians 12: 31, 12:8a from the New Testament

And Rich's cousin read Song of Songs 2: 8-10, 14, 16a, 8: 6-7a from the Old Testament

Father John read Mark 10: 6-9 from the Gospel

After we walked down the isle, we stood in the entrance and greeted all of our guests. It was so wonderful!

Once the guests left and headed to the reception site, the bridal party stuck around and we took some pictures then headed to the reception sites to take pictures and get our party on!

We got back to the hotel, relaxed a bit and waited for the photographers. The ladies all got dressed and the photographers took pictures of the dress, the shoes, the rings, everything!

I woke up bright and early, jumped in the shower and got dressed while some of the girls went to get some coffee (A chai latte for me from La Boulange)

We headed over to the salon to get our hair and makeup done, where we met my mom and the flowers girl/Junior Bridesmaid

We are all done with our hair and makeup and ready to get dressed!!

Wedding ReCap: Saturday Before the Wedding

On Saturday, I didn't sleep-in because I was just too excited!! :-)

I got up and got ready to go get out mani/pedis with my BMs and our mommas!

My mom, of course, brought a huge spread of lots of food and champagne

After our mani/pedis we headed to Walnut Creek to Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then to the Movies to see Bridesmaids!

After Bridesmaids we headed back to my hometown and I changed for Church, the Rehearsal and the Rehearsal Dinner

The Rehearsal Dinner was at a little restaurant in my home town and immediate family, the bridal party (with dates) and grandparents were invited.

After dinner Melissa (The MOH) and I went over to Safeway and Trader Joes to get some Champagne and chocolate for the night of the wedding!

Then we headed to the hotel we were staying at, and I tried to get a good nights sleep before the big day!

Oh My....Even writing this I am get excited about it all over again!!
Yes, I have butterflies in my tummy, as I write this!

WEIR Celebrating!

Because I have been a Weir for a Year!

Woohoo!

Today is our first anniversary!

I, sadly, am at work and Rich is at school :-(
Tonight we will make a yummy dinner and relax at home.

Last night we went out to a beautiful restaurant! And celebrated :-)

We also celebrated all weekend!

Friday night we stayed in, watched TV, ate roasted artichokes and drank wine!

Saturday, we went to Santa Monica and walked through the Farmers Market and had lunch and coffee.

In the evening, we went to LACMA and enjoyed a free, live, Latin concert and I made a yummy picnic for us! The weather was perfect, and we had a blast!

(amazing, recipe found here and make them, you wont be disappointed! The EVOO that you spread on the asparagus I mixed with the White Truffle Oil and it was food-orgasmic! I mean, WOW!)

Gorgeous day to be outside listening to music!

Sunday, we had brunch with some friends, went on a run and had Happy Hour drinks in Venice Beach.

Monday we rode our bikes to our favorite coffee place in Westwood.

I ran some errands, came home and relaxed in the sun and read.
In the evening we got all dolled up and went out to a fancy schpantsy dinner in Santa Monica!
We had beautiful ocean and city views from the restaurant, it was amazing!

We arrived early to have some happy hour drinks and appetizers

Then we headed to our table and enjoyed the yummiest dinner!

Yeah we were sitting next to Mayor Villaraigosa (Mayor of Los Angeles) at dinner!

Happy Anniversary to my sweet sweet husband!

I love you more than there is water in Venice and sand in Iraq :-)
