Seating Charts

How did all of your married ladies plan out the seating charts at your wedding??

I want to mix and match his guests with mine but I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable...

How did you do it?!
This is one daunting task!

We didn't have seating charts. We had reserved tables for the wedding party and grandparents etc, but we let everyone else sort themselves out. It worked out just fine.

We did the same thing as Mrs. Monkey and seriously it was such a stress reliever! I remember how stressed out a couple of my friends were trying to do this and it really ruined a lot of their time! Not saying they can't be done... or without stress because I am sure we can. We did not have one just the reserved tables for the families and it was great! If you do a seating chart I would just write everybody down and trying matching them that way. If they are coming to your wedding you or your Sweeter;) should know their personalities... I have been to a lot of weddings with assigned seats and it was so uncomfortable not knowing the people or the table just didn't mesh well... ya know? Good luck!!!! What an exciting time ;)

I'm getting married in 2 years and I don't think we are going to do a seating chart. My step-mom said that no one sits where they are supposed to anyway.

I got those little page marker post it notes and put each guest's name on one...then on a piece of cardboard drew out the layout of the tables and placed the post its around each table. It worked so well, and you can arrange and rearrange as needed. Hope that helps!

I'm sorry to say this...but the seating chart was one of the biggest pains for us...though really Liam left it all up to me. We luckily have a lot of the same friends so we didn't really have to worry about mingling our friends. But it was just a tough task of who to put where and everything. My family wanted to stay together...so we kept families together. And then we just had to be aware of exes with our friends. We eventually got through it...and it felt like the biggest accomplishment:)
