Good Afternoon to all and Happy Friday!
I am finally ready to post about my photographer.
Here is the long winded story...I am known for making short stories long, so bare with me ;-)
Back in January, my madre and I went to a bridal fair at the Claremont Hotel. It was our first one and with our senses on overload, we made our rounds through the two grand ball rooms stopping at all of the vendor tables singing up for their free giveaways.
With champagne in hand and a mini slice of wedding cake heaven, we met two photographers that we liked and decided to chose between the two of them.
I spoke with both women and they both offered awesome deals {all of you soon-to-be military wives, ask for Military discounts on everything...you will likely get what you want!} and we decided to go with KMR. She was nice and she gave us the best bang for our buck.
About a week later, I got a phone call telling me that I won an engagement session with 555 Photography! You can imagine my excitement!
We decided to do the free engagement session first so we kind of got a feel for being in front of the camera. So we had this engagement photo shoot and it all went great! We had a blast and the photographers were really doing a lot of neat things using the lighting, different poses and angle shots! It was great!

We had to break the bad news to them that we had a photographer already and they were totally fine with it, and very understanding. They told us that we would get the images in not later than 2 weeks and I had them in 1 week! Score!
A couple of weeks later, we had our engagement session with KMR. The setting was beautiful the colors were amazing...the photoshoot...not every close to par, more like a bogey :-) ha! We were always put in the same position and unfortunately it wasn't anything special-my socks weren't knocked off!

KMR told us that we would get our pictures in no more than 2 weeks, 4 weeks later we got our pictures. Not. O.K.A.Y. But we chose to look past it.
Sweeter and I liked the pictures enough and we had a verbal agreement that we would work with KMR. So, from April until about two weeks ago, I have been contacting KMR for a contract and I got nothing from her. She was very non-responsive and not helpful.
On a side note:
My padrastro is a lawyer
He has changed almost every contract we have had so far
I love him for it...
...even if it's annoying sometimes ;-)
After requesting the contract and not getting it, we decided to call it quits and contact 555. They jumped at the change to photograph our wedding and they were very willing to work with my padrastro's changes. I called, we discussed the terms and conditions, we signed the contract 3 days later!
Note:
I would like to mention that 555 is not our "fall-back" or "rebound" photographer! The timing was just off at first and now that circumstances have changed, I cannot wait for them to photograph our wedding! I have total faith that they will do an amazing job, and I just cannot wait!

Oh that's awesome! Their loss for being flaky right?
Whoah, sounds like that could have been a disaster with KMR! :-S Awesome news though that you've found a great partnership with the other photography company. Those are some awesome photos that they took! :-D
Love the photos by 555!! Pure perfection
I agree, a photographer is really important! We kind of jumped the gun on ours and personally, based on my satisfaction with our photos, I would rate her maybe a 6/10. Sigh.
Sounds like fate!! Photography is one thing you don't want to screw up--three years later, I still am bitter about how my MIL booked our photog for us...and how poorly all our pictures turned out!
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos, girl! You look so beautiful! Have a blessed day! xoxo
