----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love flowers.
However, they are expensive and don't last for very long.
I want to do a new spin on our centerpieces by having minimal flowers with a lot of candles.
So Beautiful!
there are from the dollar store....probably the best price for what it is..
Now, I just need to find reasonable candles and holders!
Any ideas!! I am all about the DIY too, if you have ideas on that too!

I had some flowers like the 1st and 2nd picture on my tables at my reception. They were beautiful!
We got my husbands parents those mugs for christmas last year :) I love your flower ideas.
It looks like you have got everything under control girl! I love the idea of more candles less flowers!
I did candles as my centerpiece too. I had them sitting on mirrors so that the lights refelcted.
When telling guests where to sit, we named each of the tables something that was important to us: cities we were born in, where we worked, vacations we went on, when we got engaged, etc. It was really fun.
At the hotel for out of town guests, we made some little bags that had snacks, bottles of water, places to visit if they wanted to, and any other important information they needed to know about the big day.
Hope this all helps!
I love LOVE your reception site. It looks amazing. And I'm going to try and see where we got out candles and candle holders. They were super inexpensive...I just can't remember the website off the top of my head...will have to do some digging.
Other things to think of...CAKE!! The caterer may be providing it, but just in case:) Or whatever you are doing for dessert. Out-of-Town bags- but thats only if you want to...its always nice to provide them with a little something, even if its a hand written note. In regards to the photographer, you may want to start thinking of shots you WANT to have and writing down a list to provide he or she. And then gifts or thank you notes for the bridesmaids/groomsmen, parents, etc:)
I love those mugs! Too funny! I love the checklist. I did the same thing.
I love those centerpiece ideas. We did some of ours with candles, but we had an afternoon wedding so it didn't have the same effect, but I knew that.
We did two versions of our centerpieces ourselves because flowers are WAY expensive and sadly, I couldn't do all flowers. We got our vases from craft stores and some of them our florist provided and they were cheaper than others.
If you end up going with those tall glass vases, my advice would to be get several extras. We had similar centerpieces and a couple of them broke. :-/
You have so much done already girl!
ahhh I love weddings!! you have so much done, and I like the centerpiece with the tall glasses.
those mugs are so cute :)
The Cake! :) or is that included with the catering?
I am loving the mugs btw!
Thank you to you and your Marine for your service. Happy Veterans Day!
oooh planning a wedding is so much fun!!!
are you doing save the dates? i never thought of doing them, but momma made me and i think its a cute idea. and another thing to make cute :)
hahah...love those mugs! You're doing so great on your wedding planning....must be getting so excited!
The mugs are adorable :) and those centerpieces are gorgeous!
Oh my gosh I love those coffee mugs!!!
I really love that 2nd piece. I can look around here at the euro stores and see if they have the votive holders like that. I'm pretty sure I've seen them.
I was just at a wedding this past weekend with a centerpiece like the second picture but without all the candles surrounding it. It looked gorgeous!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm now happily following back. Have a great weekend.

Those mugs make me smile. I just showed them to my hubby and said "hey, we need these!" LOL
Looks like things are falling into place for the wedding. VERY exciting!
HAHA! Funny mugs. here's a quick flower tip. My bridesmaids and I had a bouquet-making party where we made our own bouquets. I ordered my roses wholesale from www.rosesource.com They are SO reliable. I know it's nerve-wrecking getting wholesale flowers from overseas but I vouch for them 100%. The flowers came on Thursday via Fed Ex and looked beautiful. We soaked them and made bouquets that night and left them in a church's refridgerator until Saturday. It was perfect timing. They bloomed beautifully on Saturday. Let me know if you are interested and I"ll be happy to talk to you more about it.
Oh, and I got 200 roses for the bouquets etc. for less than $100.00
Oddly enough, sometimes you can find really cute candle holders at dollar stores and they are always reasonable there.
And for a bouquet, I saw a really cute idea... it was all made out of buttons and material that were made into flowers.
I DIY-ed all of the flowers for our wedding. To save money, we went with roses. We used 3 different colors. They lived FOREVER too! I was super happy with them =)
i just thought of something you might want to consider...a videographer. i wasnt going to get one either, but everyone i know who got married said i should. those who didnt get one regretted it and those whoe got one couldnt have been more happy. i am finally getting our video next week and i cannot wait to see how it turned out. just a suggestion :)
